This post is about my favourite species!

So many of you intellectuals out here would have rightly guessed by the title that this blog post, is not about humans!

Yes, this is about the most faithful and genuine beings on this planet! I am talking about our four-legged buddies. My affection for all animals is the same, with the exception of reptiles (read: lizards), which kind of creep me out for the very obvious reason that they do nothing but appear scary.

If you are a movie freak like me and have come across this not-so-recent Kannada release, 777 Charlie. Then I am so glad that our choice of interests aligns. We both love dogs! And why not!

How beautifully this movie describes the relationship between a man and a dog, giving out a thoughtful message about dog adoption and why one should not abandon them.

Animals deserve all of our love for just being more humane than we as humans actually are!

Don't be surprised if you find more of my posts here talking about dogs! I have a pet dog, named Coco; two college buddies Bunty and Foxyy; and a few street buddies namely Jacky, Bhuri, and Angel.

So you might find these mentions in my future blogs too. Species who are just so close to my heart that they deserve a single blog post dedicated all to themselves. I must do that just for all the unasked and unconditional love they shower on Me.

Disclaimer: If tomorrow you find me saying that I miss Bunty, know that it has nothing to do with any of my ex-boyfriends and is instead about my furry friend from college throughout my post-graduation years.

Although, I can go on and on and on about my love for dogs, but these are a few of my initial blog posts intended specifically to build a rapport with you, my dear readers. So we keep it to the point. I'll talk about them in detail in the future, without you even asking for it!

Ps: There is no offense intended for dog-phobic individuals in this post. We are compassionate enough to acknowledge your fear. We see you.

This is Coco, my dog!

In the Heart of Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh: Lessons from the Land and Its People (Part 1)

Jhabua, nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, is a region that embodies the spirit of simplicity, warmth, and resilience. Having visited this beautiful district twice, I’ve come to cherish the connections I’ve built with its people, the Bhil community. Their hospitality, rich culture, and profound knowledge of the land never cease to amaze me. Every visit leaves me with new learnings and a deeper appreciation for their way of life. One of the highlights of my trips has always been staying with the tribal Bhil families in rural Jhabua. There is something uniquely grounding about living amidst nature, surrounded by people who live in harmony with their environment. Their food, for instance, is a testament to their simplicity and love. The large makka ki roti, made from locally grown maize and served with affection, is a meal that warms both the heart and the soul. The taste is enhanced not just by its freshness but by the genuine hospitality that accompanies it. These experiences, acco...

The Bhil tribe, native to the Jhabua region in Madhya Pradesh, has often been misunderstood and misrepresented. For decades, stereotypes have painted them as "dangerous" or even "uncivilized." My journey to Jhabua offered firsthand insights into the persistent prejudices faced by the Bhil community. In this blog, I discuss these challenges, shed light on the transformative work of organizations like Shivganga , and share my perspective on the path to building a more inclusive society.
